Local Students Spread Holiday Cheer

December 20, 2013— Students from Bainbridge and Mill Road Elementary Schools recently spread holiday cheer throughout the Masonic Village campus by sending residents there holiday greetings. Adorned with glitter, snowflakes, and holiday messages, the students made custom cards to help connect the younger generation with their elders and bring their youthful holiday spirit into the community.

The project was part of the schools’ CUBS curriculum and helped the students better understand how a simple act of kindness like sending good wishes through the cards can impact the larger community. Prior to making the cards, the students explored how the holidays are celebrated by different cultures. The students also discussed the spirit of the holidays and included in that was doing something kind for someone else.
