Lynden Gallery Presents Annual Kaleidoscope Awards to EAHS graduating seniors CAITLIN WILSON and HANNAH MEIER
May 16th, 2012 | By Lisa Clemens | Category: Front Page, NewsHANNAH MEIER has always been interested in art and sought any opportunity to experiment with different forms of media – from clay and 3-D design to photography. Although she appreciates any medium, she gravitates toward acrylic and graphite, and likes to incorporate intense contrast and bright colors into work that is highly imaginative and fun. She plans to attend Millersville University, Millersville, Pennsylvania to major in Speech Communication. She will have selected works from her portfolio on display at the Lynden Gallery through the month of July.
CAITLIN WILSON has performed with the high school concert band on clarinet and bass clarinet, tenor saxophone with the jazz band, and multiple instruments in the pit orchestra for musical productions. She was selected for the PMEA District 7 Lower Band Festival after qualifying for County Band. Caitlin will be attending Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania to pursue a major in Music Therapy.
Caitlin and Hannah will plan a SALON PARLOR CONCERT for later in the summer to showcase their work. Friends and family invited to the Lynden Gallery Loft for concert by Caitlin, and a art exhibit of works by Hannah.
Kaleidoscope, a Celebration of the Arts in Elizabethtown, was held in 1998 for the benefit of the Elizabethtown Public Library and featured Music, Visual, and the Literary Arts. The Kaleidoscope Awards are presented to provide recognition not only to the recipient, but to the teachers, parents, and librarians who support the Arts in the Elizabethtown Community. Awards will be presented by the LYNDEN GALLERY at the Elizabethtown Area High School’s Senior Award Night on Thursday evening, May 17th, 2012.

Without the dedicated efforts of teachers like Kevin Goss, Steven Barraclaugh and Dana Baxter, and the school district’s ongoing commitment to the Arts, such talents will not be tapped.
