Golf Lessons

             Fore!!  The objective of this class is to introduce etiquette, rules and the golf swing to those that have an interest in the game of golf.  Participants will attain a strong foundation and understanding of the game.  By the end of program, participants will have the ability and confidence to play an enjoyable, laid back round of golf with friends.  Frank Bianco, Director of Instruction, will instruct.  Golf clubs will be provided if needed.  Lessons are on Tuesdays, May 1-22 from 6-7 pm at Groff’s Farm Golf Club (650 Pinkerton Road, Mount Joy).  Fee is $80 for GEARS members ($86 for non-members).  For more information or to register call GEARS at 367-0355 or go online at GetintoGEARS.org.

“Spring Mix” Golf Tournament

             GEARS is hosting it’s 6th Annual 2-Person “Spring Mix” Golf Tournament.  Sponsored by Barry Krisko, owner of Raymond James Financial in Elizabethtown and Dr. Dale Treese, D.D.S.  “Spring Mix” tourney will consist of 3 different playing formats:  6 holes of scramble, 6 holes of better ball and 6 holes of alternate play.  The $80/player fee includes green fees, cart, range balls, dinner and awards.  Tournament date is Friday, April 27 with a 1 pm shotgun start at the Sunset Golf Course (2601 Sunset Drive, Middletown).  Tournament proceeds will benefit the GEARS Summer Playground Program.    To register or for more information, go online at GetintoGEARS.org or call GEARS at 367-0355.

Mother/Daughter Tea

Mothers and daughters enjoy a special night of fun! Mom not available? Bring your grandmother, aunt, older sister or your favorite family friend. The evening will begin with a craft, photo opportunity with a professional photographer, party games and tea and scones followed by an assortment of tea sandwiches and music. Door prizes will complete the evening.  Event will take place on Friday, May 11 from 6:30-8 pm at the Masonic Village Lodge Dining Room (One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown).  All ages are welcome.
