Mad River Guide, $325. (16′, Royalex, cane seat, all purpose solo touring canoe). This canoe can be refitted as a tandem, but it is better as a solo. A great touring canoe for rivers. The Guide can handle Class II+ rapids easily and also can be used to play on the rapids. It is designed as a touring boat and can handle quite a lot of gear. It is my favorite all purpose canoe.
