EAHS band to present “Bands in Review” concert

October 13, 2010— Mark your calendars! The Elizabethtown Area High School marching band will hold its 2010 “Bands in Review” concert on Thursday, Nov. 11 in the high school auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

The band will play a wide variety of songs that are sure to entertain all in attendance. The 154-member ensemble will perform a diverse repertoire that will include the following selections: House of the Rising Sun, Cold-Hearted, Talkin’ Out the Side of Your Neck, Sing a Song, Word Up, Carry on Wayward Son, Hawaii Five-O, Monster, Seven Nation Army, 25 or 6 to 4, Land of 1000 Dances, and Sarge’s First – a percussion feature written by our percussion instructor.

The band is directed by Steven Barraclough. Assisting Barraclough is Andrew Johnson, assistant director and percussion instructor; Gerald Huesken, marching and maneuvering instructor; Mindy Sevcik, color guard instructor; and Sherry Bixler, majorette instructor. Student leaders include Paige Frishkorn, head drum major; Hunter Johndro, assistant drum major; and Naomi Makishi, assistant drum major.
