Financial Aid Night Scheduled for Thursday, October 12

October 5, 2017- Elizabethtown Area High School’s Counseling Department will hold its annual Financial Aid Night on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents of current juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend to learn about the financial aid process of college and other post-secondary education institutions. Kendra Feigert, director of financial aid for Lebanon Valley College, will present the information and answer questions regarding how to apply for financial aid, how financial aid eligibility is determined, types of financial aid, and what is a financial aid package.

EAHS Orchestra to Perform Pops Concert

October 5, 2017- The 68-member Elizabethtown Area High School Orchestra will present its 2017 Pops Concert in the Brossman Ballroom at Masonic Village on Thursday Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. The theme for this year’s concert is “GO WEST!” Familiar music will include themes from movie Westerns “Magnificent Seven,” “Hang ‘Em High,” and “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly;” fiddle tunes of French, Irish, Scottish, and Mexican origin; and the iconic theme from “The Lone Ranger” (borrowed from the William Tell Overture). EAHS hosting corn maze to benefit Four Diamonds Fund

  October 4, 2017- Elizabethtown Area High School’s Mini-THON Committee invites the community to attend its annual Corn Maze on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5-9 p.m. at the Brubaker Farm, 1035 Union School Road, Mount Joy. There is a $5 entrance fee to the Corn Maze, which includes the Corn Maze and a hayride. Refreshments will also be sold at the event. The Elizabethtown Area High School Mini-THON Committee raises money for the Four Diamonds, a non-profit organization at Penn State Children’s Hospital whose goal is to conquer pediatric cancer. Wills, Trusts and Estates             GEARS will offer a class on Wills, Trusts and Estates.  What is a will?  What happens if you do not have one?  How do make a will?  What is a trust?  Do you need/want one?  What do you do if you have to administer an estate?  This class is designed to be an introductory course to give you a working knowledge of the law in the estate area.  Questions about particular circumstances will be welcomed.  Thomas S.
