Outdoor seating coming to downtown

From Chronicling Elizabethtown Patrons of Folklore Coffee & Co. on the square in downtown Elizabethtown soon will be able to eat at tables outside. Owner Ryan Bracken came to last night’s Borough Council meeting with a request to place four tables with two or three chairs each under the awning of the coffee shop. He said Folklore won’t offer service at the tables but that patrons will order their food and drinks inside and bring them outside. Turkeys Come to Etown

Sometime in early spring a flock of turkeys arrived in the area between Elizabethtown College and the high school. A short while after that, the flock was observed on the college campus and a hen was observed near Spruce and College Avenues. More recently, a few turkeys were observed in the vicinity of Ridge Road and College Avenue. About four weeks ago, a turkey hen established a nest on Orange Street in some ground cover. E-town cheerleader selected to Big 33 football classic

June 3, 2011— Elizabethtown Area High School senior cheerleader Casey Marie Dinkel has been chosen to cheer for Pennsylvania at the 54th annual Big 33 football game. The prestigious all-star game will be played on June 18 at Hersheypark Stadium and pits players from the Commonwealth against all-stars from Ohio. Dinkel is one of only four cheerleaders from the Lancaster-Lebanon league selected to take part in the “super bowl” of high school football.
