Holiday performances on stage at Elizabethtown College

Faculty members, students and Elizabethtown community musicians take the stage in December to entertain for the holidays. Festivities begin with the Fine and Performing Arts Holiday Concert at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, when students and faculty members present a lively program of seasonal music and readings. At 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, members of Emotion dance troupe, present a showcase of modern, jazz, hip-hop, and ethnic dance styles. Cost for the performance, taking place in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center, is $3 for students, $4 for adults. Tickets are available by emailing emotion@etown.edu. The final concert of 2014 takes place Sunday, Dec. 7, in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center when the Elizabethtown College Choral and Jazz Band presents American Family Christmas. Elizabethtown College and community musician ensembles perform holiday favorites as well as some lesser-known but equally wonderful works celebrating peace on earth and goodwill to all.

Bring the kids, too, for a surprise visit from Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and even Frosty the Snowman who have taken the day off from their hectic holiday schedule to visit Elizabethtown.
