November 21, 2014- As part of National Signing Day, Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Anna Forry and Katelyn Keller recently announced their intent to play field hockey at the collegiate level. At a special ceremony held in their honor, Forry and Keller accepted scholarships to NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference rivals Central Michigan University and Kent State University respectively.

Forry is a two-time team captain. During her career with the Bears, she was a first-team Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star in 2014 (midfield) and a second team Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star in 2013 (back). She has competed at the National Field Hockey Festival and in the National Indoor Tournament. Anna is the daughter of Mitchell and Beth Forry of Elizabethtown.

Keller is also a two-time team captain. She was selected to the Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star her junior and senior seasons as a goalkeeper as well as earning honorable mention all-state honors. She has competed at the National Field Hockey Festival and in the National Indoor Tournament. Keller is the daughter of James and Susan Keller of Elizabethtown.

Less than two percent of high school athletes play at the post-secondary level. The special program was a day of great pride and celebration for the Bears stars as well as their families, teammates, friends, teachers, and coaches who all were in attendance. The small ceremony celebrated the success the student-athletes exhibited on the playing fields and in the classroom.
