Jared Gilger, a Senior on the Elizabethtown High School Football team, earned high honors this summer when he placed among the top performers at the Jimmy Smith & Marlon Brown football camp.  The camp was hosted by Sports International.  Gilger was able to out play nearly 100 campers to be selected as part of the program’s prestigious Gridiron Elite club. Gilger also earned The Sports International Football Camp Certificate of Excellence for his performance on the Defensive Line.

The football camp, held at Towson University in July, featured daily instruction, lectures, and demonstrations by Jimmy Smith and Marlon Brown of the Baltimore Ravens, as well as other members of the Ravens. Campers also learned from veteran college and high school coaches selected for their ability to coach and teach the game of football.  At the end of the week, the top performers were selected to the Sports International Gridiron Elite.  The Gridiron Elite is an exclusive club made up of the top high school football players that attend camp. Each recipient was hand-selected by the coaching staff at the camp. Players selected for the prestigious Gridiron Elite have outperformed many of their peers to earn their coach’s recognition and praise.
