The Elizabethtown Journal in cooperation with 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue will periodically be announcing and profiling dogs in need of a home. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit dog foster network dedicated to saving the lives of neglected, unwanted, injured, abused, and forgotten dogs. 2nd Chance provides foster homes for every rescued dog until a forever home is found. 2nd Chance 4 Life is a volunteer organization solely supported by donors. For more information, please visit their website at 2ndChance4LifeRescue.org or on Facebook. A complete listing of available 2nd Chance dogs, including this week’s dog, Parker, please go to http://www.2ndchance4liferescue.org/animals/list.

Parker is a sweet 7 year-old Beagle. 2nd Chance discovered Parker on a tennis court where he was caught in the fence. He tested positive for Lyme disease, but was treated and is doing well. Parker is an easy-going guy who loves attention and enjoys cuddling on the sofa with his foster mom. He also likes sleeping in bed and snores loudly! He gets along well with other dogs and kids 5 or older.

A typical Beagle, Parker like following his nose and will require a fenced yard so he doesn’t wander off. Nothing makes a Beagle happier than an interesting scent! Parker is crate-trained, house trained and responds to basic commands! He is ready for a forever family who wants a faithful and loving companion.+
