The Elizabethtown Journal in cooperation with 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue will periodically be announcing and profiling dogs in need of a home. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit dog foster network dedicated to saving the lives of neglected, unwanted, injured, abused, and forgotten dogs. 2nd Chance provides foster homes for every rescued dog until a forever home is found. 2nd Chance 4 Life is a volunteer organization solely supported by donors. For more information, please visit their website at or on Facebook. A complete listing of available 2nd Chance dogs, including the dogs announced here, Pugsley and Jenny, please go to

This weeks dog  is actually a brother and sister pair (previously featured in April). Jenny and her brother Pugsley are 10-lb Yorkshire Terrier mixes who were brought to 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue while their mom, Trixie, was still pregnant. When 2nd Chance rescued mommy, Trixie, from a high-kill shelter they had no idea she was carrying puppies. Trixie’s new foster mom was very surprised one morning when she saw that Trixie suddenly had company in her crate – two little puppies!

Jenny and Pugsley are now over a year old and are altered, housebroken, and vaccinated. This sweet and spirited sibling combo love to play, cuddle, and sleep together. A bonded pair, Jenny and Pugsley will be adopted together. They are very affectionate, enjoy lots of love, and will need a fenced yard to play in. They are great with kids 5 years or older and other dogs, but no cats.
