Zombie Fun for Everyone

Oct 16th, 2012 | By | Category: Front Page, News

Zombies and humans are invited to attend ZombiE-town on Friday, October 19 at Elizabethtown Public Library.

ZombiE-town is a family friendly zombie event for people ages 10 and up; children under 14 must have an adult with them. This event will include a variety of activities and many awards as well as the opportunity to “give yourself away” through a blood drive held by the Central PA Blood Bank from 2-7pm. No appointments are necessary for blood donation and everyone who attempts to donate will receive a FREE Brain (squeeze ball).

For information and answers to your questions about the blood drive, please call Central PA Blood Bank at   1-800-771-0059. ZombiE-town will also include Bone Marrow Donor Registration, and a collection of shelf-stable food for the Elizabethtown food bank.

People are encouraged to come to ZombiE-town in costume (zombie or otherwise) as there will be a zombie costume judging and zombies will receive a special gift. People may get a makeover with zombie makeup by Face Play, a local business doing professional beauty and special effect makeup, beginning at 4:00 pm. Zombie and human-friendly food will be served (including zombie s’mores in the Library’s courtyard weather permitting) and there will be some fun and ghoulish zombie games and special effects.

Winners of contests and drawings will receive prizes including tickets to Jason’s Woods, RIP passes for ShocktoberFest, MoviE-town and other local venues.

Admission to ZombiE-town is $20 or $10 with a donation for the Elizabethtown Area Food Bank (canned meat, boxed potatoes, macaroni, canned stews, beans are encouraged; everything must be shelf stable)

For more information, please contact zombies@etownpubliclibrary.org. Questions about zombie makeup may be directed to t-rudy@hotmail.com.
