Special Olympics Conewago Trail Ride May 5

The first Special Olympic bike ride is being held on Saturday, May 5th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m on the Conewago Trail in Elizabethtown. Everyone is invited to ride with the Olympians and their coaches or to show up and offer their encouragement. Cycling is not currently an event in the Special Olympics for Pennsylvania in this region (Area M) and this ride is part of the effort to install it as an event. The ride will start in the parking lot at the trail head on Route 230 in Elizabethtown. The ride will begin at 10:00 a.m. and arrival time begins at 9:00 a.m. There will be a picnic lunch after the 10 mile ride.
This ride is being hosted by Big Himmy’s Bike Shop in Millersburg, PA. The sponsors are Maria Restaurant, Millersburg; Dietz & Watson, Millersburg; and Subway in Elizabethtown and Halifax.
