EAHS band to present “Bands in Review” concert

EAHS_MarchingBandOctober 24, 2011— The Elizabethtown Area High School marching band will hold its 2011 “Bands in Review” concert on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 in the high school auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

The band will play a wide variety of songs that are sure to entertain all in attendance. The 107-member ensemble will perform a diverse repertoire that will include the following selections: Battle Hymn Chorale, Any Way You Want It, Open Arms, Don’t Stop Believin’, House of the Rising Sun, Cold-Hearted, Word Up, Carry on Wayward Son, Hawaii Five-O, Monster, Seven Nation Army, Land of 1000 Dances and Final Countdown.

The band is directed by Steven Barraclough. Assisting Mr. Barraclough is Andrew Johnson, assistant director and percussion instructor; Gerald Huesken, marching and maneuvering instructor; Mindy Sevcik, color guard instructor; and Sherry Bixler and Heather McGinty, majorette instructors. Student leaders include Naomi Makishi, head drum major; Laura Shenk, assistant drum major; and Alison Levosky, assistant drum major.
