E-town Students Take Home Awards in Local Science and Engineering Fair

Five Elizabethtown Area High School students took home honors at the 58th North Museum Science and Engineering Fair held on the campus of Franklin and Marshall College. Award winners included Aaron Cake, Conrad Brendel, Alaina Herkelman, Andrew Kline, and Matthew Bushong.

Cake won the Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award and won first place in the Computer Science category. Brendel won the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Lancaster Chapter Award and second place in the Engineering: Electrical & Mechanical category. Herkelman won an honorable mention award in the Biochemistry category. Kline won an honorable mention award in the Computer Science category. Bushong won a third place award from the U.S. Air Force for Excellence in Aeronautics.

Also taking part in the competition from E-town were Scott Bridgehouse, Erik Ginter, and Alex Weber. At the science competition, approximately 400 middle and high school students displayed their finished projects in 22 categories, while representing more than 25 public and private schools of Lancaster County
