April 20, 2016- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Katie Gizzi and Christopher Bair were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for April. Gizzi and Bair were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school and community service activities.

Gizzi is the daughter of Zane and Melissa Gizzi of Elizabethtown. She is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society. Gizzi holds numerous leadership positions at the high school including Key Club secretary and class treasurer. She’s also active with Mini-THON and the Bible Club and has been a member of the school’s tennis team.

Gizzi has received underclassmen awards in the fields of geometry, biology, and earth science.

In the community, she volunteers with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation and is a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards attendee.

Gizzi plans attend a four year college and pursue a degree that will lead to a career as a physicians assistant.

Bair is the son of Matthew and Robin Bain of Elizabethtown. Bair is a member of the school’s soccer team where he served as captain his senior season. He is a multiple year Lancaster-Lebanon League all-star earning second team honors as a junior and first team honors as a senior. He was section MVP his twelfth grade year. Bair was active at Mini-THON

Bair has received underclassmen awards in the fields of earth science and intro to business. He as an attendee at the Valley Forge Leadership Conference.

Bair plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and major in electrical engineering.
