Area seniors are invited to participate in any of the following programs held at the Elizabethtown Area Senior Center.  The Senior Center is located in the GEARS Community Center, Elizabethtown and is open Monday through Friday.  Call the center for more information about the activities or to make reservations at 367-7984. The Elizabethtown Area Senior Center is a service of GEARS and the Lancaster County Office of Aging. Zumba Gold            A toned-down version of Zumba! A fun aerobics-type class, part dance and part fitness, based primarily on Latin American & International style music. Geared to the deconditioned person/beginner exerciser and the active older adult. For those that may be hesitant to go “full-out” for whatever reason, Zumba Gold is the way to go! Elementary Instrumental Music Family Night at EASD

August 25, 2016- Elizabethtown Area School District will hold its annual Elementary Instrumental Music Family Night on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 7-8 p.m. at the Bear Creek School. This special evening is for families with children in grades 4 through 6 who have an interest in signing up for the school’s band or orchestra program. Yoga Classes Offered             Gentle/Beginner Yoga –  Learn fundamental yoga postures using safe alignment and modifications, slowly build strength, flexibility and balance. Conewago Rod and Gun Club offers basic pistol course

The Conewago Rod and Gun Club will conduct a Basic Pistol Course on Sunday, September 11, at the organization’s clubhouse, 1483 Turnpike Road Elizabethtown. The Basic Pistol Course is designed for individuals who have limited or no experience with a handgun. The eight-hour course will teach beginning shooters the fundamental skills needed to own and use a handgun safely and responsibly. It will include instruction in the classroom and on the pistol range. The course will be conducted by NRA-certified pistol instructors.  Minors are welcome when accompanied by parent or guardian.
