Another Case of Regulations Strangling Entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania? Homer Investigates

Oct 17th, 2015 | By | Category: Front Page, News

Homer was talking about a case brought against Chaka Fattah Jr, the son of a Philadelphia congressman, who himself is being investigated by the FBI on corruption charges, Where to begin, said Homer heavily, as the EJ staff nodded sympathetically. They had heard about the heavy hand of regulations being brought to bear against this noble father-son duo who, after all, were engaging in their God-given right to pursue life, liberty and happiness (and a little bit of extra cash.) Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy Twelfth Night performed at E-town: Production features original music composed by Elizabethtown College’s John Rohrkemper

Oct 16th, 2015 | By | Category: Front Page, News

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – It’s all about love lost, love found and love turned upside down. Twelfth Night, or What You Will, William Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy, turns desire—and more—on its ear. Written in 1601, near the middle of his career, critics consider it—as well as As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream—among the Bard’s greatest comedies. It’s all about illusion, madness, deception and what love can lead us to see and do. Elizabethtown College Theatre performs Twelfth Night at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, October 31; Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov.[Read more...]
