Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child Arrest

On July 12, 2014 the Elizabethtown Police Department received a complaint regarding inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male and a juvenile female. The Elizabethtown Police Department learned through the investigation that a man identified as Aaron Boas had met the 12 year old victim online. Boas arranged to meet with the victim on July 1, 2014, and drove to Elizabethtown to pick up the victim. Boas had sexual contact with the 12 year old victim in his vehicle in the area of East Park Street and South Mount Joy Street, and various other locations in Elizabethtown. Giving Tree program at Bear Creek and East High schools

December 22, 2014- To help brighten the holidays for families in need, the Bear Creek School recently held its annual Holiday Giving Tree program. As part of this annual tradition, the school’s faculty, staff and students as well as community members purchased suggested gifts for families who could use the help this season of giving. In total, the program brought holiday cheer to 56 families from the Elizabethtown community. Arrest by Borough Police

On September 11, 2014, a resident in the 1000 block of Hillside Avenue Elizabethtown, reported to the Elizabethtown Police Department that unknown person(s) had entered his home and had stolen firearms, tools, and money valued at over $3,000.00. As a result of this investigation, Eric C. Flick, 38, of Elizabethtown, has been charged with Burglary graded as a felony of the first degree, and Theft by Unlawful Taking graded as a felony of the second degree. On December 19, 2014, Eric C. Harpeth Rising to Perform at Chestnut House Concerts

Call for Grant Applications: Music For Everyone To Invest Over $80,000 in Lancaster County Music Programs

Music For Everyone, a Lancaster-based non-profit charitable organization that raises money to enhance Lancaster County school and community music programs, is proud to announce an open call for grant applications. This year the non-profit organization plans on investing over $80,000 in music programs through the grant process. Pre-School Classes  KinderTots is for age 2.  This program is designed to develop gross motor skills, movement creativity, physical development and body awareness, while learning numbers, colors, shapes and songs.  The class will take place Tuesdays from 5:45-6:15 pm.  Fee for the class is $67 for GEARS members and $74 for non-members. KinderDance is for ages 3-6.  This class is a developmental dance/movement and fitness program taught on 3 levels, teaching the basics of ballet, tap, acrobatics and creative movement while blending educational concepts. From Chronicling Elizabethtown, December 16, 2014  by Jeff McCloud This Thursday night, Elizabethtown Borough Council will approve the borough’s 2015 budget. Council meets every third Thursday, but I consider this meeting in December to be one of the most important of the year because of the budget. We also vote on the millage rate to establish what property owners will pay in property taxes. Unfortunately, this week a family responsibility conflicts with the meeting, and I will not be able to attend.
