August 30, 2013- The Elizabethtown Area School District is proud to announce there will be seven inductees into the EASD Athletic Hall-of-Fame Class of 2013. The newest inductees will be enshrined on Friday, Oct. 11 and include Dale Andrews (Big E Booster Club Co-Founder, Class of 1955), Mary Fairbanks (Grubb), Dorothy Wanamaker (Grubb), Mildred Whitman (Grubb), Richard Wilson, Jason Wittel, and James Yohn. Bears Football Starts This Weekend UPDATE SCORE Bears 20 Donegal 6

  After a 17 game losing streak, the Bears won three of their final four games last year.  What will this year hold?  The season starts Saturday with a home game against Donegal.  The renovation of the athletic facilities has resulted in a scheduled home game to be moved to Lebanon Valley College and from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. Senior Center Activities Week Of Sept 5

Watch Elizabethtown College Fall Sports

Fall Sports have commenced at Elizabethtown College.  The public is invited to attend all events free of charge  (except conference championships for which there is an admissions fee).  This is an opportunity to watch college sports right in the borough’s back yard and it’s free.  It’s a good way for the community to get to know the college and the college to get to know the community. Fall sports include women’s field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s golf.  Volleyball is held in Thompson Gym located just west of the Leffler Chapel. [Read more...]

Etown Wine Walk Announced for September 13

The first Annual Etown Wine Walk has been announced.  The wine is sponsored by Vineyards At Grandview. All proceeds from the event will benefit MSIB (Market Street! Improving Business) which is a non-profit organization specifically focused on the revitalization and beautification of Elizabethtown’s main street and square. MSIB also organizes the Etown Christmas Parade, Let E-town Ring (New Years Celebration), Etown 2nd Fridays and Beans & Brew (Homebrew and Chili contest).
