2017 EGGSTRAVAGANZA GEARS will be holding its annual Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt on April 8th starting at 10am at the Elizabethtown Community Park at the Fun Fort.  The egg hunt is free for kids 12 and under.  There will other activates including inflatable moon bounce, balloon artist, activities, concession and more.  There will be an adult egg hunt for $5 with prizes! Brandon Little makes Eagle Scout

  Brendon Cole Little, of Boy Scout Troop 66, was honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Grace United Methodist Church in Hummelstown.  Brendon is the son of Dawn and Ryan Little of Elizabethtown. Only two percent of Scouts attain this highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America. Area seniors are invited to participate in any of the following programs held at the Elizabethtown Area Senior Center.  The Senior Center is located in the GEARS Community Center, Elizabethtown and is open Monday through Friday.  Call the center for more information about the activities or to make reservations at 367-7984.   The Elizabethtown Area Senior Center is a service of GEARS and the Lancaster County Office of Aging.   SPRING/SUMMER COED SOFTBALL LEAGUE GEARS is accepting team registration for its Spring/Summer Coed Slow-Pitch Softball League. Bellringing in Palmyra

The Carol Ringers and Celebration Ringers, under the direction of Nancy Cappel & Tammy Freeman, will present a handbell concert on Sunday evening, June 25th, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N Chestnut St., Palmyra, PA.  These junior and senior high school ringers from St. Matthews UMC in Annandale, VA, have played handbells at the White House, the State Department, Constitution Hall and every year at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage.  We look forward to opening our doors and having you join us as we welcome the Carol and Celebration Ringers.  A good will[Read more...]

   Acro/Ballet Class        A creative movement class that incorporates techniques of ballet and gymnastics. Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique. Students will learn such things as handstands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, and flexibility. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength. Research from cognitive psychology, sociology, and findings from other disciplines inform us that the way we typically explain our own behavior, others’ behavior, and the social world is lacking in accuracy.  Most of us use a similar method  to construct these explanations. EAHS inducts 49 students into its National Honor Society

March 9, 2016- Elizabethtown Area High School inducted 49 students into its T.H. Ebersole Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) at a special ceremony held Wednesday, March 8. Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. It recognizes the outstanding students of Elizabethtown Area High School who have exhibited the four pillars of scholarship, character, leadership and service. March 9, 2017- Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Meili Kenley and Harrison Eichelberger were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for February. Kenley and Eichelberger were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school and community service activities. Kenley is the daughter of David and Wendi Kenley of Elizabethtown. She is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society where she serves as secretary. Kenley is active in numerous school activities including the marching, concert, and jazz bands; the orchestra and pit orchestra; Key Club; and the Competition Science Team.
