  Yoga Classes Offered               Gentle/Beginner Yoga -  Learn fundamental yoga postures using safe alignment and modifications, slowly build strength, flexibility and balance. Dr. Jason Potts approved as assistant principal of Elizabethtown Area High School

August 9, 2017- The Elizabethtown Area School District Board of Education unanimously approved Dr. Jason Potts as an assistant principal at Elizabethtown Area High School. Dr. Potts replaces Dr. Lyn Shaffer who accepted a position with the Cumberland Valley School District. Dr. Potts was hired following an extensive search and interview process. The interview team was comprised of district and school administrators, teachers, and school board members. Dr. Potts has more than 16 years in education, the last two as an assistant principal at the SciTech campus of John Harris High School in Harrisburg. GEARS FALL 2017 BROCHURE IS COMING GEARS has put together a wide variety of programs and activities for all ages in its Fall 2017 Brochure.  GEARS members should receive a copy in their mailbox within the next few weeks! The saga continues. Two of our venerable reporters have once again picked up the scent of the most curious character that our reporting staff has ever encountered.  I speak of the Unidentified Man, of course. The saga began six years ago when the two reporters were foraging for food near the Conewago Trail. Tennis Camps Youth Tennis Camp – Participants will focus on building tennis fundamentals with emphasis on the FUN! At least two different courts will provide quality instruction for all skill levels. Camp will focus on learning proper techniques, while cultivating a love of the sport through drills and games. Time is from 5:30-7 pm. Ages 8-12 Teen Tennis Camp – Participants will develop and improve skills through conditioning, stroke development and strategy. Camp is for current or aspiring high school tennis players. Girls Basketball Camp           Attention future Lady BEARS Basketball Players!  Camp is under the direction of John Myers, Elizabethtown Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game. Coaches will stress the basics of dribbling, shooting, passing, etc. Come ready to learn and improve. Wear sneakers and comfortable clothes. Camp t-shirt included in fee. For girls entering grades 3-8.  Camp is Tuesday-Thursday, July 25-27 from 9 am-12 noon in the Bear Creek Gym (1459 Sheaffer Road, Elizabethtown).
